Earl W. “Jack” Coover, 92 of Coatesville passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Born in Monoa, PA he was the son of the late Harry Coover and Eleanor (Summersgill) Coover Townsend. He was the beloved husband of the late Helene R. (Fleming) Coover with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.  

Following school, Earl went on to honorably serve our nation during the Korean War as a U.S. Marine. He would later be employed by Thomas G. Keyes of Frazer as a Well Driller for over 35 years.  

Earl will be remembered for his easy-going disposition and love for his family. He was a talented mechanic and a dedicated worker.  He loved Nascar, Crossword puzzles, Classic Country Music, and was an animal lover. 

He is survived by six children: Robert Coover and wife Debi of Honey Brook, Jill Scott and husband Charles of Parkesburg, Steven Coover of Rincon, GA, Michael Coover of Coatesville, Lawrence Coover of Honey Brook, and Tracy Finegan and husband Jerry of Narvon. Additionally, he is survived by one sibling, William Townsend of Hamburg, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by two siblings: Helen Thomas and Emily Townsend.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, Pennsylvania 19365.  Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation period taking place from 1 PM until the start of the service. Interment will be private.
