John Robert Peoples

John Robert Peoples, 86, of East Fallowfield, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 19, 2025. He was the husband of the late Alice Rae Peoples who died in 2022. Born in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Ronald Peoples and Edith Spencer Peoples.

John was a Chester County resident all his life and a 1956 graduate of the Downingtown High School. After high school, he went on to proudly serve in the US Air Force from 1958 to 1962. In 1967 he graduated from Millersville University and then began his lifelong career as a shop teacher with the West Chester School District at Fugett Middle School.

John was an avid golfer who played golf with his friends all around the US. He also enjoyed traveling across the Country with his wife. He served as football coach for 20 years at Fugett Middle School and served as a baseball coach with the Coatesville Little League for 10 years. He was also a diehard Philadelphia Phillies fan but most of all, John enjoyed his time as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by one son John Robert Peoples, Jr. and wife Jennifer of East Fallowfield, five grandchildren; John R. Peoples, III, Skyler R. Peoples, Jenna R. Peoples, Felicia Marie Peoples and Colton M. Peoples all of East Fallowfield, seven great grandchildren and one niece Tanya Farnum of Coatesville. He was preceded in death by one sister Barbara Peoples Farnum.

At John's request, funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
