Edward John Tracey Jr., 77, of Lawton OK, peacefully passed away on June 3, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in Coatesville, PA, January 26, 1948, he was the eldest son of the late Edward John Tracey Sr. and Emma Scott Tracey. Edward was a graduate of Coatesville Area High School, class of 1966. Following high school, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he met his beautiful wife, Orchid Jade Tracey.
Throughout his life Edward loved hunting, fishing, was a beneficiary of the NRA, a Master Mason, and an apocalypse planner. He was also a life member of the California Pistol and Rifle Association, a member of the Single Action Shooting Society, and a Reserve Comanche County Deputy Sherrif. He enjoyed the Boy Scouts of American as his son and grandsons all participated. He was also a jack of all trades and had more tools than all the trades combined. The love that Edward had for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was to infinity and beyond.
Edward is survived by his wife, Orchid Jade Tracey, and siblings, Robert F. Tracey Sr. (Sharon), Daniel G. Tracey Sr. (Anna), and Esther Weintraub (Andrew), and their families, children, Edward J. Tracey III and Melissa Ward, daughter-in-law, Pamela Moseley, grandchildren, Keano Orchid Torres, Erin Ponimoi Tracey, Edward J. Tracey IV, Nicholas Ray Mae Kamalani Tracey, Jordan Ward, Logan Ward, Landon Ward, and Kendal Ward, great-grandchildren, Ocean Uilani June Torres, Lokilani Meiling Torres, and Makoa Atun Silva Torres.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bruce P. Tracey and Joseph L. Tracey.
Funeral services were held on June 13, 2025, at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Oklahoma.
