Dianita Marie Wilson, 70, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in West Chester, PA. Born on January 29, 1955, in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Irma Jane Coleman and the late Sonny Lawrence Thomas. Dianita was beloved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Dianita was a proud graduate of Coatesville High School, earning her diploma in 1973. Following her education, she dedicated herself to her career, serving in housekeeping at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. Her commitment extended beyond her professional life, deeply engaging with her community and church, where she was a devoted missionary.
An amazing mother, Dianita's warmth and generosity touched countless lives. She was known for her cheerful spirit and her favorite phrase, “I love you and there’s nothing you can do about it,” which she shared liberally with those she cherished. Her active participation in various church activities and her brief service with the American Legion reflect her dedication to helping others and contributing positively to her community.
Dianita is survived by her loving son, Robert C. Wilson Sr. (Chelsea) of Coatesville, along with her seven cherished grandchildren: Andrew, Aadan, Braydon, Jacob, Lee, Rc Jr., and Nevaeh. She leaves behind siblings Larry (Regina) of Downingtown, Mike of Washington, Greg (Jeanie) of West Chester, and Bruce (Marty) of Coatesville. She also had a close bond with her cousin, Ronica Ford of Coatesville, and her dear companion, "Trucker."
Additionally, her friendships were of great importance; Her best friends 1967 Patty Mason and family, and Her best friend (sister friend) Debbie Thomas Fraley and family.
Dianita was not only a source of love and support for her family but also a consistent presence in her community, always ready to lend a hand or provide a ride whenever needed. Her love for life was reflected in her interests; she enjoyed dancing, singing, and celebrating with friends and family, creating lasting memories in the process.
Dianita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Wilson, who passed away in 2018. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, yet the impact of her kindness and the joy she brought to life will forever remain cherished.
A Celebration of Life party is being planned for July, and information regarding this gathering will be shared as details become available. Dianita's spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
