John A. Coveleski, Sr., 87 of Auburndale, Fl. passed away, Sunday June 22nd in Winter Haven, Fl. Born in Chester, Pa., he was the son of the late Thaddeous Kawalewski and Margaret & Kaspar Schmidt.

John moved to Coatesville when he was 13 years old to help his stepfather work a dairy farm. In 1960 he started working for Rhoads Energy retiring in June 2007. During those years he raised four children, was active in the Friendly CB Club, West End Fire Company, Polish Club and the Episcopal Church of the Trinity.

Upon retirement he and his wife, Mildred, moved to Florida. At Westside Ridge he became active in the HOA, the Entertainment Committee, Poker night, Men's Night Out and Shuffleboard. He was preceded in death by his half-sister, Barbara Oakley.

He is survived by his wife Mildred, children-John A., Jr., Brenda (Larry) Weaver, Thomas M. (Linda), and Jodie Coveleski Sturges; stepchildren Ceecee (Larry) Beebe, Karen (Victoria) Wingfield, and Edward Wingfield, 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a sister Theresa Wall.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 16th, 2025 at the Episcopal Church of the Trinity, 323 E Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA at 2:00 PM.
