Mary Lou Thompson, 60, of Honey Brook, passed away on Tuesday, June 25th under the care of Paoli Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of Thomas R. Thompson, Sr., with whom she shared 38 years of marriage.

Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Betty Clevenstine Hardy and Walter Clevenstine SR.

Mary Lou was a resident of Honey Brook for her entire life.  She worked as a dietician at Heatherwood Retirement Community for 27 years.  She loved going on trips to see lighthouses, cooking, and throwing picnics and parties.  But most of all she loved spending time and making memories with her grandchildren.

Mary Lou was predeceased by her brother, Walter Clevenstine, Jr.

She was loved by many.  With her family by her side.  She also had Bryan, Holly, Jimmy, Amanda, Joanne, and Betty Ann within her final days.  She will be truly missed and lived on in our hearts forever.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 6th at 11 AM at Rockville Mennonite Church, 210 Cupola Rd, Honey Brook, PA 19344. I was 2 years old when Mary Lou was born and as soon as we could both walk & talk, we became friends. Our mothers would put blankets on the ground and we would play for hours! We were close neighbors on the hill outside of HB. Before long, as Mary Lou's brothers & sisters came, there were 7 of us kids hanging out together and boy , did we make some wonderful, happy memories - even some we got in alot of trouble for!  The years and miles have seperated us physically, but our hearts have always been connected. When I moved away, we never lost touch - always a Christmas card with pictures and the latest events of out lives. We just started going to lunch when I would get home for visits. We would pick up just where we left off. She was my friend, my "adopted" sister, and one beautiful loving woman, who adored her family. I will miss her dearly but through the tears, I will smile at all of those good memories. I am blessed to have them, and to have known her all of my life. Until we meet again, enjoy the ride, my dear sweet friend!

Mary Lou was such a nice person.  I worked with her for several years at Heatherwood.  She was so conscientious about her work and so kind to the residents and co-workers. She was a pleasure to work with.    Sincere sympathies to all her loved ones.  Phyllis Moore
