Eleanor D. Weyman, 86, of Coatesville, PA, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Harrison Senior Living in Coatesville. She was reunited in eternity with her beloved husband, Harry D. Weyman, who departed in 2020. Remarkably, Eleanor followed in her late husband’s footsteps, leaving this world on the very same day, three years apart. Eleanor was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Rudolph and Maria Strauss Pearl.

Eleanor courageously battled Alzheimer's disease, facing its challenges with grace and fortitude. Even in the midst of her struggle, her spirit remained resilient, a testament to her enduring strength and character.

Dedicated and skilled, Eleanor worked for the Chester County Mutual Insurance Company for 25+ years and served as the assistant treasurer in her last role for the company before she retired. Her steadfast commitment was a testament to her professional integrity. A devoted member of Hopewell Methodist Church in Downingtown, PA, for over four decades, Eleanor's faith was an anchor in her life.

Eleanor found boundless joy in her role as a MomMom. She delighted in attending her grandchildren's sporting events, providing unwavering support from the sidelines. In her leisure time, Eleanor indulged in the art of cross-stitching, challenged herself with crossword and word-search puzzles, and crafted heartfelt and sometimes humorous greeting cards for cherished friends and family that she humorously entitled El Mark Greeting Cards.

Exploring the world alongside her husband, family, and friends was a cherished pastime. Together, they ventured through numerous states and countries, relishing in the rich tapestry of cultures they encountered. Spontaneous road trips were a particular delight for Eleanor and Harry, a testament to their adventurous spirits. Known for their generosity, the couple frequented BB's Grocery Store, gathering goods to donate to local charities. They volunteered, donated time/resources, and served as mentors for Bridge Of Hope, an organization founded to help end homelessness for single mothers and their children.

Eleanor's indomitable spirit shone through in her triumph over breast cancer not once, but twice. Her strength and resilience were a beacon of hope to many, as she embraced the camaraderie of her breast cancer support group, forging deep and enduring friendships.

Eleanor is survived by her loving children, David (Lisa) Weyman of Lanham, MD, and Janice Heagy of Coatesville. She leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Zachary and Isabella Heagy of Coatesville, as well as her dear brother, Raymond (Patricia) Pearl of Aston, PA, and devoted sister, Anna Blanck of Parkesburg, PA. Eleanor also leaves a legacy of love to several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her siblings, Rudolph Pearl, Hilda Cotrufello, and Walter Pearl.

Eleanor's memory will forever be held dear by those who had the privilege of knowing her, as her legacy of kindness, strength, and compassion lives on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Hopewell Methodist Church, 852 Hopewell Road, Downingtown, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the adjacent cemetery. Condolences

To Janice and.family,

So sorry to hear of the loss of your mom.  She was a wonderful soul who showed kindness to all who crossed her path. I remember when I would see her and your dad when they would come into the IU.  They were always so cute! She is so happy now being reunited with your dad.

May God comfort you and your family during this difficult time. As long as you have your memories she will always be with you.
