Doris C. McCully, 88, of Gap, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at The Garden of Stevens Nursing Home in Stevens, PA. Doris was the widow of the late James McCully who died in 2015. They shared 44 years of marriage together. Born in Atglen, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. Conover and Martha E. Hawkins Conover.

Doris attended the one room school house in Lenover, PA. She was employed, for 49 years, by Penquin Industries, which later was purchased by Hoppe's.

Doris was a lifetime member of the Atglen and Christiana Fire Company Auxiliaries. She was also a member of the Penningtonville United Presbyterian Church in Atglen, PA.

She is survived by one son Edward E. Conover of Honey Brook, PA, one granddaughter Christina M. Rodgers of Denver, PA, two great granddaughters; Tiffany and Ashley Rodgers of Denver, PA and two great great granddaughters; Giselle Barajas and Alayah Shank. She was preceded in death by siblings; Charles H. Conover, Harry Conover, George Conover, and Gertrude Middleton.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday evening, November 14, 2023 at 7:00 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.

Mom mom I miss u so much words can’t express the pain I feel inside. We all will miss u and we loved u so much fly high with the angels and give pop pop Jim a big hug and kiss from all of us I know u both are up there watching over all of us until we see u again we love u RIP
