Lloyd Harold Lawrence Jr., of Gordonville, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026.
Lloyd was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend whose family meant everything to him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (Welsch) Lawrence; his two sons, Brian and Chris (Kayrene); his eight grandchildren, Kodi, Kayci, Kole, Avery, Addison, Dhadnel, Juandeliz, and Liam, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride; his mother, Dorothy Lawrence; his stepmother, Shirley Lawrence; his sister, Dorothy Hackman; his brother, Charles Lawrence; and his stepsister, Susan Kiger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd H. Lawrence Sr.
Lloyd dedicated more than 50 years of his life to the steel industry, where he worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist. He took great pride in his work and in the many years he devoted to his career.
Outside of work, Lloyd found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time with the people he loved. He had a passion for golf and especially cherished playing alongside his wife, Patty. The many hours they spent together on the golf course created treasured memories that will remain with his family forever.
Above all, Lloyd will be remembered for his caring and generous heart. He was the kind of person who always put others before himself, making sure those around him were cared for and never went without. His love for his family was at the center of his life, and his kindness, selflessness, and steady presence touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Lloyd leaves behind a lasting legacy of love that will live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, mother, stepmother, siblings, stepsister, and all those whose lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
