Sandra Steen, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generous heart, and the love she so freely gave to those around her. Sandra was a devoted Christian and a lifelong member of Olivet Methodist Church in Coatesville, where her faith was an important part of her life. Throughout the years, she faithfully served her church in many capacities, including as former Hospitality Table Manager, choir member, member of the Counting Committee, Assistant Administrator, and Sunday School teacher for students in grades 9 through 12. Her service to the church reflected her deep faith and her desire to serve others. Sandra was also a proud member of the S. Horace Scott High School Class of 1963 Reunion Committee, helping maintain the friendships and connections she cherished with her classmates throughout the years.

Sandra worked for the Coatesville Police Department for nearly 20 years, serving as Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police. She took great pride in serving the community she had called home throughout her life. Sandra also worked for Lukens Steel Company and Royal Paper Products, contributing her dedication and strong work ethic to each organization.

Family was the center of Sandra’s life. She took great pride in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with those she loved. Her kindness, warmth, and devotion created memories that her family will carry with them for generations. Sandra is survived by her beloved husband, Howard Steen, with whom she recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Sandra and Howard had known each other since they were 10 years old, and their lifelong bond was a beautiful testament to their enduring love and devotion. She is also survived by her son, Jeffrey Steen, and his spouse, Randy; her granddaughter, Tara Green, and her husband, Daniel; her grandson, Matthew Steen; and her granddaughter, Sarah Steen. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Andrew Green, Sophia Green, Noah Green, and Aaron Green, who brought her great joy. Sandra is survived by one brother, Paul R Hoffman of Gap. Sandra was preceded in death by her two daughters, Lisa Marie Steen and Jennifer Lynn Steen.

Christmas was Sandra’s favorite time of year. She embraced the season with a special joy, filling her home with the sights, smells, and traditions that made Christmas so meaningful to her family. She was well known for her homemade fudge, sand tarts, pecan tarts, and chocolate chip cookies, which became cherished holiday traditions. Sandra was also famous for her homemade chicken pot pie, a family favorite that was more than just a meal—it was an expression of the love she put into caring for the people around her. Sandra’s legacy is found not only in the family she leaves behind, but in the traditions, she created the faith she lived, and the countless lives she touched through her church, community, and family. Her love will continue through her husband, son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and through every Christmas tradition, family gathering, recipe, and story that carries a piece of her forward. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
