Gail B. McWilliams, 87 of Honey Brook, PA, passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at her home on Sunday, September 27, 2026 surrounded by her family and love . She was the beloved wife of James Vernon McWilliams with whom she shared 69 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late John R. Brown and Audrey Jeanette Ressler Brown.

Gail grew up in Parkesburg and attended the former Parkesburg School graduating in 1957 with the first graduating class at the newly built Octorara High School.

She was employed as a secretary for an insurance company  , Pepperidge Farms. Later, she worked for 15 years alongside her daughter on her daughter's bus as a school bus aide.

Gail enjoyed being at home where she took pride in keeping a clean home and decorating. She loved her flowers every year. She enjoyed reading and at times, could finish reading 10 to 15 books in a week. For 67 years, she enjoyed trips to the family cabin in Sullivan County and in later years going to her daughters' home and visiting family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, attending family dinners , picnics and just sitting on the back porch.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three children; James McWilliams of Dushore, PA, Michael McWilliams (Ashlee) of Quarryville, PA and Tracy McWilliams (Bob) of Columbia County/Honey Brook, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and the family German Shepherd Roscoe who loved Mommom Gail dearly. She was preceded in death by a grandson, James N.McWilliams Jr.  Mommom Gail was loved very much and will be missed tremendously,  but what a legacy she leaves behind ..

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 10:00 AM to the time of the service followed by interment at the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery in East Fallowfield, PA.
