Paul Landis Leslie, Jr., 75, of West Marlborough, passed away on Wednesday, July 8th, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family.  He was the beloved husband of Lois Ann (Young) Leslie, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, Paul was the son of the late Grace Margaret (Brown) and Paul Landis Leslie, Sr.

Paul worked at Lukens Steel for 35 years, retiring as an Inspector.  He attended the former Scott High School of Coatesville.  He was a lifetime member of the Coatesville Moose and the West End Firehouse. Paul was also a member of Central Baptist Church in Pomeroy.

A lifelong sports fanatic, Paul was a Coatesville Little League coach for 18 years, including the 1984 1st place Dodgers and the ‘84 All-Star team.  Paul also coached Men’s Fast Pitch Softball for many years, winning a National Title with Watters Trucking in 1988.  He also coached for Klunks Paper Fast Pitch and the Abdala’s Slow Pitch Softball team.   A passionate Coatesville Red Raiders fan, Paul volunteered as a member of the Coatesville Football chain gang for 40 years and once after jokingly applying for the boys basketball coaching job, the Coatesville Record labeled him as “the super fan who had never gotten a call wrong from the stands in 26 years!”

In addition to his wife, he is survived, by his children, Paul Alan Leslie of Coatesville, Jill Catherine Mowday of Coatesville and Timothy Aaron Leslie, husband of Holly, of Coatesville; his grandchildren, John Mowday, Josh Mowday, husband of Darla, Jacob Mowday, husband of Colbie, Jeremiah Mowday, husband of Allyssa, Clinton Leslie, Peyton Leslie, and Zachary Ferrell, along with five great-grandchildren, and two siblings, Bobby Leslie of Thorndale and Gail Barket of Narvon.

Friends are invited to the public visitation on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, Pa. from 11:30AM to 12:30PM.  To protect those at-risk, please wear a mask and practice social distancing at the funeral home.   Given Paul’s love for his Coatesville Red Raiders, the family encourages friends and family to wear red and black.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Willow Tree Hospice in Kennett Square, PA.  Checks are to be made to Willow Tree's parent company, Amedisys Foundation, 3854 American Way, Suite A., Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
