George Milton Pavelik, 91, of Westwood, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the Brandywine Hospital. He was the husband of the late Geraldine Mae Bailey Mummery Pavelik who died in 2004. They shared 30 years of marriage together. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late George Pavelik and Katherin Mae Majtas Pavelik.

George was an area resident all his life and a 1948 graduate of the former H. Scott High School in Coatesville. He was employed for 45 years by the Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville as a crane operator retiring in 1995. 

He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Coatesville and the Brandywine Goddard Masonic Lodge #383 F&AM. He was also a life member of the Polish American Citizens Club, the West End Fire Company and the Westwood Fire Company. 

George enjoyed eel fishing, fishing, working in the yard, playing cards and watching football on TV. 

He is survived by one daughter Deborah A. Sweigart and husband Ron of Westwood, two grandchildren; Daniel Sweigart and fiancé Molly Jones of Westwood and Raelynn Priddy and husband Shawn of Mohnton, PA, two great grandchildren Carson Kuch and Teagen Rose Sweigart, nieces and nephews and dear companion Patricia Severino of Honey Brook. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Ann Yost, wife of Harold Yost of Denver, PA and Ginger Harple, wife of the late John Harple.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Glen Run Baptist Cemetery, Atglen, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd, 107 S 17th Ave, Coatesville, PA 19320.

George it was a pleasure to live next to you for 30 years. I loved your jokes and watching over you for Debbie. You lived a long life. Thank you for allowing Steve and me to celebrate your birthdays from time to time. What milestone. I hope to see you again in 30 years. God bless you my friend.
