Obituary

Charlotte (Betsy) Jebb Cole of Cochranville, PA, went home to be with Her Lord on October 26, 2026, at home surrounded by family. Born in West Grove, PA, to Lloyd L. and Hope Shivery Jebb of Cochranville, PA. Betsy graduated from Octorara High School in 1961, where she was involved in field hockey, basketball, chorus, district chorus, band, and marching band. Following high school, Betsy attended Goldey Beacom College and, while attending, became a library assistant. After having two daughters, she worked as a secretary for a law firm in Kennett Square.

In 1974, she began a career as a customer service representative and supervisor for ICI Americas. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration while working full-time, graduating from Widener University in 1998. She retired from ICI in the early 2000's. She went on to work for DavCo Advertising in Gap, PA, and later Kinzers, PA, in customer service speciality products. She retired from DavCo in 2011 to tend to her flower and herb gardens. Betsy was a faithful member at Bellevue Presbyterian Church in Gap, PA.

Known as Betsy to many, Bets to few, and "Lottie" to her loving family. Betsy loved spending time in her flower and herb gardens, planting and shopping in the spring for new additions. Betsy would freeze and can produce that were grown in her vegetable garden. Her front porch was one of her favorite places to be, where she spent time watching the birds and especially enjoyed the hummingbirds when they came to visit. Betsy also loved to cook, especially for family and family gatherings. She even compiled her own cookbook of old family recipes for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Betsy and David both shared a love for music, singing in different choirs and choral groups and attending musical concerts and events. Betsy and David enjoyed traveling together and vacationed in numerous locations from Maine to Florida. Betsy loved her time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she could always be depended on for wisdom, guidance, and advice on how to navigate through life's journey.

Betsy is survived by her loving husband, David K. Cole of Cochranville, with whom they shared their love for each other for over 52 years. Betsy is also survived by two sisters: Barbara Reid (Landis) of Parkesburg, PA, and Margret Voly of Camden, DE. Two daughters, Amy Reeves (Ralph) of Rising Sun, MD, and Megan Lambert of Gordonville, PA; four grandchildren: Stephanie West (Asher), Jacob Reeves (Meghan), Devin Reeves (Courtney), and Zackary Whitney; and seven great grandchildren: Landon, Brynlee, and Noah West, Joseph, Scarlet, and McKenzie Reeves, and Annie Reeves.

Her absence will leave a huge gap in our family, but the memories of her will live on.

A Celebration of Life Service is being planned for a later date, Information will be posted here when finalized.
