Leslie Lynn Pugh, 45, of Parkesburg, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster she was the daughter of Ronald A. Pugh and the late Regina Susan (Taylor) Pugh.

Leslie attended Overbrook school for the blind when she was young and learned her life skills there. She was a 1995 graduate of Pequea Valley High School and went to work at the Lancaster Host Resort for several years in the laundry.

She was extremely social, and an excellent communicator, who could be described as honest and transparent. She loved to talk on the phone with her friends, even those from around the world.  She was high-spirited and would graciously jump at the opportunity to support any social outing especially when it involved music. She went out of her comfort zone for her love of those she held dear to her heart. She loved music, especially Country, Rock and Pop.  She was always the life of the party at family gatherings, singing songs. Music was her biggest motivation in life, she had a song for every person,  life experience., and purpose. She was particularly fond of children, especially her nieces and nephews who she loved immensely.

“Your song has ended, but your melody continually lingers on in our hearts.”

She is survived in addition to her father by one sibling: Lysa Pugh of New Holland and 5 nieces and nephews; Ylishyah, Gabriel, Yahqob, Azayah, and Rayin.

Condolences

My best friend for over 30 years. I miss her so so very much. I give hugs to everyone and send my prayers. Man this woman was so AMAZING. Every day I was so amazed by the things she could do. I used to walk off from her cuz I would forget she couldn’t see. Lol. I miss those days we would sit in the swig at the lunch basket by the candle barn until 2 am listening to music. Bowling with her. Always grabbing something to eat. Running to Wawa for a coke icee. Just driving around wasting gas for nothing. My first born god mother/aunt Leslie. So many years and so many things. Like a sister I never had. I miss her so dearly. I love u Leslie. ❤️

I grew up around her because my mother was her bestfriend. She has a wooden coffee table in her living room that u busted my mouth on. I remember her having so many collectables of Lucy and I would ask her all the time about them. I used to help her clean her house when she needed it. If you ever been in her house I know y’all remember how cold it was in there and she would have the same comment about it. “It’s not cold.” I loved her fudge chocolate she made. I will always remember her forever in my heart. Her memories will never be gone.

I took care of Leslie for sometime last year. I found her to be extremely interesting very caring little bit on the lonely side, but sometimes I think he like that it’s really sad that she passed away but now at least she doesn’t have to endure all the physical ailments that she had she’s up there cracking up at making jokes I’m sure

I'm so sorry for the loss of Leslie. She was always a hoot to be around she spoke her mind and didn't care how it came off. She always had a smile on her face and loved to be the social butterfly. I'm glad I got to spend some funny moments with her and got to know her how I did. She will truly be missed by us all. Love ya Leslie.

Leslie was one of the greatest friends I could ever ask for over the phone. Spending countless hours hanging out with friends from all over the country or just one on one there was never a dull moment. She was like a sister to me and will miss her forever. I know she is not in pain anymore and can appreciate that but would do anything to hear her voice again. Pugh family know that Leslie touched a lot of people not just where she lived but across the U.S. May she rest in peace and watch over all of us during this time of grief.

Leslie was such a good, caring, funny person. I had worked with Leslie for almost 2 years and I loved going to work everyday because she was such an amazing person to be around. She always had a smile on her face no matter what she was going through. She was always a good friend to talk to and she definitely was a good ear and gave wonderful advice. I didn’t know that we were cousins for the longest time until I started working with her I am proud to say that I was blessed to have someone like her in my life. She truly was a beautiful person .
