Erin Kathleen Riley Hubbert, 63, of Quarryville, PA, passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, December 4, 2022. She was the wife of Kyle Ackard Hubbert for over 30 years. Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of Robert A. Riley of Parkesburg, and the late Dorothy J. Babel Riley.

Erin loved so much and so fiercely, especially her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Erin worked as an LPN. She loved being a nurse and touched so many lives, most recently assisting a midwife with in-home births. Erin enjoyed spending afternoons fishing on the river, completing home projects with her husband, and having her children and grandchildren close.
Erin’s legacy will be the love, encouragement, and humor that she instilled in everyone in her life, especially her family, both born and found.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her children, Keri Bortz, and her husband, Brian, of Herndon, VA, and Jeff Milliron of Quarryville, three grandchildren, Audrey, Corinne, and Evelyn, and siblings Patrick Riley of Sunbury, PA, and Michael Riley of Parkesburg. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

To Erin's family, she was always the one reaching out to me and wanted to get together for coffee ❤️, never happened. We shared something special we were mothers of our angel sons. She helped me so much. May she be hugging and holding on to her son forever. May God hold and hug all of you. So sorry

I was sad to find out from my brother, Chet Marron, that a dear former classmate, Erin Riley, passed away recently. We were in Octorara High School's class of 1977. My brother is good friends with Erin's brother, Mickey. My mom, Ann Marron, who is now 84 and I am taking care of her full-time in Delaware, has fond memories of the Riley family and especially their mother. We are both sorry we cannot attend the funeral, but we offer our thoughts and prayers to the entire family.

Kyle and Family,
Erin was an incredible person, and the greatest sister in law a person could ever have. She loved with her whole heart, especially animals. She was a perfect compliment to you, Kyle. I loved our conversations, and her enthusiasm for absolutely EVERYTHING. You couldn't have a bad day around her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God hold her in the palm of his hand.
