Donald Lewis Davis, 74, of Pomeroy, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.  He was the husband of Myrtle Gilbert Davis. They were just a few days short of celebrating fifty years of marriage.  Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Miller S. and Dorthea M. Stevens Davis.

He was a graduate of Scott High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked at AGC in Thorndale in quality control and retired after twenty-eight years.  He was a member of the American Legion and Parkesburg VFW where he served as a past commander.

He is survived by his wife and his children, David of Downingtown, Donald (Beth) of Goodville, Todd (Sonia) of Denver, and Melissa of Pomeroy, as well as 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Mildred (Dave) Morris of Gap, Ronald (Paula) of Coatesville, and Lynn (Dave) Maule of Mechanicsburg.

Friends and family are invited to attend Donald's memorial service, which will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkesburg VFW, 406 W. 4th Ave., Parkesburg, PA, 19365.

My sympathy to the whole Davis family.  Mr Davis was a dear person, and will be missed by many.  I am glad that I had the chance to get to know him over the past few years, and all of us at HBPC will miss him, as well.

I am sorry to find out about Don's passing.I have fond memories of the the fun we all had in Boy Scout Troop 42.Let your memories of Don help ease the pain you are feeling at this time.
