Gladys M. Dyer, 92, passed away on October 11, 2019, at the Pocopson Home in West Chester. She was the wife of the late J. Vernon Dyer, who passed away in 1998.  Born in Lenover, PA,  she was the daughter of the late  Sadie Anna Brown and Albert E. Walton, Sr.  

Gladys was a member of the Atglen Methodist Church. She was in machine maintenance and worked for Servomation.  She was also the custodian for the Atglen Post Office and the Atglen Methodist Church.  Gladys was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the former Atglen Fire Co.

She loved her cats and dogs, especially her last cat "Boots."  Gladys enjoyed doing needlework, painting ceramics, teaching ceramics classes and she was a great cook.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Jane V. Gifford of West Chester, one granddaughter, Elaine Freeman and 2 great grandchildren, Aidan and Mia Freeman of Christiana, plus siblings, Carroll Dyer of Summerville, SC.,  Alfred Walton of Coatesville and Betty Lou Stirling of Parkesburg.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, Marvin O. Walton, Albert E. Walton, Jr. Eddie Walton, Carl Webster and Shirley Walton.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm praying the Lord comforts you all. Aunt Gladys is now at peace with our Lord. I'm sure she's having a wonderful reunion with all her loved ones, who were waiting in Heaven for her.
