Anna Elizabeth Thompson Gay, 91, of Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Tel-Hai Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late Robert Artemus Gay who died in 1997. Born in Chester Springs, she was the daughter of the late Norman G. and Lorma Harple Thompson. 
 
Anna was an area resident all her life and a 1940 graduate of the former Scott High School.
 
Anna was an excellent seamstress. She also enjoyed needlework and crocheting but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
 
She is survived by two children; Carol Sue, wife of John Wasko of Coatesville and Dale W. Gay and wife Gloria of Morgantown, five grandchildren; Norman Gay and wife Brenda, Christopher Gay and wife Melissa, William Wasko and wife Carol, Martin Wasko and Lora Leigh, wife of Clayton Gibbs and four great grandchildren; Jake Wasko, Jarek Wasko, Clayton Gibbs, Jr. and Aaron Gibbs. She was preceded in death by four siblings; Nathaniel D. Moses, Frederick H. Thompson, Charles N. Thompson and Mary Etta Thompson Houck.
 
Memorial services will be held on  Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 11am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville. Visitation at the funeral home from 10 to 11am.  
 
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to either the Blind Association or to Neighborhood Hospice.

Thank you Frankie and Elaine. Your prayers and thoughts warm my heart. She was a good wife and mother. She will be missed, but know she is looking down smiling now because she is where she wanted to be...with Daddy and the rest of her family.
