Joseph J. Salatino, 89, of Cochranville passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Born in Pittston, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Nicholas Salatino and Carmella (Guastella) Salatino. He was the beloved husband of Judy A. Salatino with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. 

 Joseph was a gifted musician and music teacher for 38 years. He was a graduate of Mansfield State University and went on to obtain his master’s degree from Penn State University. He taught music throughout Springfield School District in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. He taught music lessons to countless students and performed regularly for a dance band, which was active for over 30 years. 

He enjoyed spending time with his adoring grandchildren, playing the piano, landscaping, fishing, and was an ardent Phillies and Eagles fan.

 Joseph is survived by: his beloved wife, Judy A. Salatino and his family: son, Nicholas J. Salatino, wife Gwen and grandchildren Alexandra and Nicholas, Jr: daughter, Camille M. Schaller, husband Robert and grandchildren, Brett, Brandon, Austin, Justin and Brandon Thomas: daughter, Maria E. Gasiorowski husband Dave and grandchildren Lindsay, Molly, and Kieran. 

 Services will be private.

I was a student of Mr Salatinos in the Springfield School District.  He was a marvelous teacher. Full of life, laughter and warmth.  After all these years I still cherish his memory.

Sorry for your loss.  He was a great man.

Dear Judy and family

Mom and I were remembering the wonderful times we spent together with you.. .then I did a Google search...curious about Joe's age...and we see this sad note...89...his birthday just passed...an interesting life shared with many!
So...God's peace dear Judy and family.
