Jacqueline McCarraher

Jacqueline L. McCarraher, 89, of East Fallowfield, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of Parke B. McCarraher, Jr. with whom she shared 72 years of marriage. Born in Melrose, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Harold E. Lyons and Helen E. Fellows Lyons.

Jacqueline was born and raised in Massachusetts, growing up on Forge Pond in Westford, MA. She was a graduate of Westford Academy High School in Westford, Mass.

Shortly after her marriage she accompanied her husband to California for 3 years while he was stationed in the Army and then returned to Coatesville PA to raise their family. She was employed at the Coatesville Hospital in Coatesville, PA as Senior Aid. She and her husband also ran a successful plaster craft business for a number of years, traveling along the east coast to many craft fairs.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by two sons; Gregory A. McCarraher and wife Denise of Richmond, VA and Gary B. McCarraher and wife Kathy of Franklin, Mass., five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 10:00 AM to the time of the service.
