Gertrude M. Jones, 96, formerly of Coatesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Newport Meadows Nursing Home in Christiana, PA. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Haines and Mary Jones.

She was an area resident most of her life. She was employed as a Nurses' Aide.  Prior to that she worked for a chemical company in Orange, NJ.

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Memories are gifts of God that death cannot diminish.

You'll always have a place in our hearts and especially the memories we made.

Rest easy, Aunt Gertie.  Love, Pamela and Tony.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday,  May 5, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Christ Cemetery, 750 Doe Run Road, (Ercildoun) Coatesville, PA.

Thank you for sharing part of lifes journey with me and our friends at Newport from all the cookies (especially snickerdoodles) that were made to the amazing paintings you did in art class with me..through you I learned of your legacy of Chester Ruth and the first combine being made.in Gap.to the places in Doe Run of your grandmother..from your love of dancing with the soldier boys at Fort Indiantown Gap to your love of chocolate and of course the Bean Pies that you always seemed to get Larry to make for you..

You will be forever missed for your bright shining smile and the sharing of beauty in the smallest things...Rest Well my friend ..your journey here is done..

I'm so sorry to see that Gertrude has passed away.  I've known her for a long time from Coatesville and then in Parkesburg where my father lived.  We use to talk all the time.  Rest In Peace sweetheart.  xoxo
