Francis L. Brown, 84, of Cochranville, PA, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester. He was the beloved husband of Janet Austin Brown with whom he shared almost 63 years of marriage with. Born in Parkesburg, he was the son of the late Allen L. Francis was an area resident all his life and a 1958 graduate of the Octorara High School. He was employed by Unisys retiring as an expediter. He also volunteered as a Little League coach and Scoutmaster. He had seemingly infinite curiosity when it came to people, and would never hesitate to ask you a question if it struck his fancy; and it often did. He was a passionate yard sale shopper, and a collector of knick-knacks, who took great pride in his Beanie Baby room and collection of college sweatshirts, his signature apparel at home. He loved sports, listening to country music, and his family most of all.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children; Terri Fisher and husband James of Oxford, PA, Timothy L. Brown and wife Cherry of Parkesburg, PA and Theodore R. Brown and wife Barbara of Ocean City, MD, seven grandchildren; James P. Fisher III and wife Elisa Keller of Avondale, PA, Jesse Wood and partner Ella Zellefrow of Narvon, PA, Timothy L. Brown Jr. and wife Becky of Coatesville, PA, Caiti Giordano and husband Daniel of Rosedale, MD, Nathan A. Brown of Bel Air, MD, Francis Leighton Brown of Parkesburg, PA and Kayla Reitnour and husband Tyler of Parkesburg, PA, three great grandchildren; Haylee Brown, Meia Brown and Katherine Zellefrow-Wood, and four siblings; Judy Poletti, Joanne Butler, Earl Randler, and Flossie Wolfsperger. He was preceded in death by four siblings; Mary Harper, Allen L. Brown, Jr., Jeanette Clifford and Patrick Randler.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Francis's grandson Tim for his assistance and support.
