Verla Jane Little, 95, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, in Mt.Joy, PA.  She was the wife of the late James J. Little who passed in 2007.  Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Sarah C. Thompson.

Verla worked as a beautician and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She excelled as a military wife, cooking, maintaining lifelong friendships, and spoiling all dogs. 

She is survived by a son, James J. Little II of Lancaster, and four grandchildren, Lauren (Tom) Wills of Coatesville. Brieana Little and Cory Little, both of New Holland, PA, and Julia DeCecco of Bronx, NY, and six great-grandchildren.  and six great-grandchildren.  She became Nana and Mom to everyone she met and loved everyone as her own. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie DeCecco.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 14th at 11:00 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Eastern Star service will start at 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the SPCA. to make a donation please click HERE.

What do you say about a special person?  Aunt Verla was kind, considerate, loving, putting everyone else above her own needs.  She would go out of her way to help others.  Someone as special as Verla will never be forgotten.  She will remain in our hearts forever.   Missed so much and dearly loved.  Always in our hearts.
