Thomas A. Houck, Sr., 64, of Coatesville, passed away at his home on  Monday, September 12, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Deborah J. Reynolds Houck with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Born in Altoona, PA, he was the son of Ruby Glunt Houck of Honey Brook and the late Edward M. Houck, Sr.

Tom was an area resident all his life and a 1976 graduate of the Downingtown High School. He was employed by the Hohmann and Barnard Machine Shop of Chester Springs as a  machine operator.

Tom was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Pomeroy, PA where he served as a Trustee. An avid fisherman, he was a member of the Delaware Valley Bassmasters from 2010 to 2017. Tom also served as a volunteer fireman with the Washington Hose Company in Coatesville.

He is survived, in addition to his wife and mother, by two sons; Thomas A. Houck, Jr. and wife Jackie of Gap, PA and Matthew E. Houck of Coatesville, three grandsons whom he adored; Dylan, Tyler and Wesley Houck, two sisters; Susan Lee of Downingtown and Penny Holmes also of Downingtown and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Gateway Church, 160 Cowan Road, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with a viewing at the church from 9:00 AM to the time of the service. Interment will follow the service at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or West Fallowfield Christian School, 795 Fallowfield Road, Atglen, PA 19310.
