Alice W. Findley, 81, of Conestoga, PA, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at the home of her daughter surrounded by her family. She was the widow of the late William J. Findley who died in 1997. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Leroy F. Werner and Frances Kolodski Werner. 

Alice was a 1957 first-year graduate of the Octorara Area High School, winning the first Female Athlete Award. She was employed most of her life as an LPN with 15 years at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester, 20 years at Harrison House, and later retiring from working at the Tel Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook, PA.  

She was a member of the Sandy Hill Community Church, Coatesville, PA. 

She is survived by two daughters; Elizabeth S. Eby and husband Dale of East Earl, and Judith A. Truitt of Conestoga, one step daughter, Judy Wade and husband Charles from Lehighton, four grandsons; Darren Eby, Scott Weaver, Adam Weaver, and Austin Weaver, four step-grandchildren; Racheal Truitt-Hartman, Nicole Truitt, Lindsey Truitt, and Alexus Rhoads-Truitt, Jennifer Wade and Elizabeth Ellis, four great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren, sisters, Elaine Chapman of Atglen, Mary Lou Hall of Brownsville, TX, Frances Wickens of Horseheads, NY, and Susan Shoemaker of Kirkwood, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by an infant daughter at birth Patricia Joanne Scott, a son in law, Bill R Truitt, two sisters Betty Amico and Dorothy Cabott, and two brothers; John Werner, and Leroy "Buzz" Werner Jr.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 11th at 4 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA, with public visitation from 3 until 4 PM.
