Albert G. Madonna, 95, of Columbia, KY, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at his residence. Born in Parkesburg, PA he was the son of the late Dominic and Carmela Laudadio Madonna.
Poppie would like all to know that he has gone on to be with Nanny. He's done all he can do here, so God said it's time to "come on". He was ready. He told us so.

He accomplished many things while here on earth being mortal. He served his Country honorably with other great men and women of his generation, and met and married our mother, Betty Lou, aka,  Nanny. They created a wonderful life for their family of two children, Alan Lee(Oxford,PA) and Kathy (Arcadia,FL). As us kids were young, we enjoyed church as a family and yearly vacations. The Army Reunion was an annual event too. Boating and camping adventures with extended family and friends, were spoken of throughout the year. And the family grew. Dad welcomed grandchildren; Lee, Jr (Denver, PA), Vinnie (Venice, FL) and Christy Lynn (Columbia. KY) with spoiling intentions! And Santa was very generous under the tree!

If you didn't learn anything from Poppie you weren't paying attention. He lived a good life, prayed, was kind to animal, could tell a joke... sometimes, and loved his family. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by many extended family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 West 2nd Ave., Parkesburg, PA 19365 followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Condolences

Dear Lee, Kathy, Christy, and Family-

Dear Uncle Albert, also known to me as "Poppie" as he would always sign his cards.  He is now with his beloved Betty Lou.  He was the last of the Aunts and Uncles

in the Madonna family.  I am so saddened and heartbroken.  But he has now gone home.  Forever in my thoughts and heart.

Love you all-

Lisa Wilde

Poppy was a great person. Not many men believe in God in this age. Poppy did and wasnt afraid to talk about it. I loved mom and poppy as if they were my own parents. They will be missed by all. He is in a better place, being called home.
Condolences to Big Lee, Kathy, Lee Jr, Vinnie, Stacia, Rodney, Chrissy, and all the rest of the family. God bless.

Thinking of you all.  Poppie will be missed greatly but I know he was tired.  He and Nanny were so lucky to have you taking care of them Christy.  I hope that if I am fortunate enough to have grandchildren someday, they love me the way you did them.
