Norma L. Jones, 73, of Coatesville, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. She was the wife of Ralph K. Jones with whom she shared 31 years of marriage.  She was the daughter of the late Earl H. and Evelyn L. Wise Smith.

Norma was born in Coatesville, and was an area resident all her life.  She was a 1962 Scott High School graduate, and was employed by the Chester County Intermediate Unit.  Norma retired in 2006 after 36 years of service.   As a second career, she also enjoyed working in the restaurant industry for many years.  Those years of working and extra income afforded her all the world travel she so thoroughly enjoyed.

She was a member of the Gateway Church in Parkesburg, and was considered “part of the family” there.  Norma was very actively involved in many of the church’s activities, and much of her personal happiness resulted from that.  Her faith was undeniable, and her faith was what guided her.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by one son, David S. Jones and wife Julie of Honey Brook.  Four grandchildren; Zachary Jones, Ethan Jones, Chase Chiccino and Haley Chiccino.   Her sister, Joyce Wright and husband Jack who live in Coatesville.  Norma also leaves behind very dear friends.  Her loving and caring ways were felt by all of those she has touched.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Gateway Church, 160 Cowan Rd, Parkesburg, PA 19365 followed by interment at the Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery, West Chester, PA at 2:30 PM. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 9:30 - 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Gateway Church at the above address.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.  Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
