Thinking of your family. I [9]
Thinking of your family. I waited on Dave and Michelle at Gap Diner as a teenager and college student. I then met Dave again at Katie's Kitchen when I was eating dinner with my son. I knew he was a special guy just from our brief interactions. He always talked about his family (that includes the puppers) and he always asked about others. I wish there wee more Dave's in this world.
Evelyn

Sorry to hear that Dave passed, such a genuinely kind person. I would tell my daughters that I called Dave "Kenny Rogers", who smiled whenever I saw him. Extending thoughts and prayers and comfort to the family of such a nice person. He will be missed. Rest in Peace.

Besides being his 1964 [16]
Besides being his 1964 classmate, Dave’s dad was our milkman in Parkesburg before I met Dave in 7th grade! We shared a special friendship. Rest In Peace.
Dave will be missed [17]
To the entire Simmons family -
Dave was a great guy. In my younger years, he was my Sunday School teacher at the Cochranville United Methodist Church. He was funny, smart and genuinely cared about people - especially my parents. As an adult, I would occasionally run into Dave and he would always ask about my parents and brothers and sister. He cared. Dave was also very competitive - especially when playing or watching sports. I too remember when he competed in the Kenny Rogers look-a-like contest and won! He was Cochranville’s local “celebrity”. He will be missed and I’m sorry for your loss.
Chris Bittle, Lancaster, PA
Our Sincere Condolences [18]
Our sincere condolences to all of Dave’s family. Since Dave was a dog lover, we included a picture of our 3 fur babies. I’ve known Dave my whole life and what a wonderful man he was. He was like a big brother to me. I attended youth group from Cochranville United Methodist church, where he and Laurene were our leaders…I learned so much from them…which instilled changes in my life for the better. So our dear friend we’ll say goodbye until we meet again ❤️. Thinking and praying for your entire family.
So sad to hear of Dave’s passing [19]
So sad to hear of Dave’s passing, he was a very nice man and so funny, a good friend to all! He was very caring, a great youth group leader, he would always ask my kids if I was going to make my home- made chips for youth group meetings! Love to the whole family! Helen Blackburn
Fund memories, loved person! [20]
So sad to hear of Dave's passing. Great memories especially while growing up in Cochranville! Cochranville Methodist Church, Church softball League, "The Ville" Boys playing basketball around Cochranville. Dave was a great person and was a confidence booster for the youth of Cochranville. Always smiling when he came into my Dad and Mom's store, Miller's Market. Loved watching the growth of his children in Cochranville. Condolences to the entire family!
Great bowler and friend [21]
I had the privilege of bowling in several leagues with Dave. As a lefty, I viewed his approach and release to improve my game. He was very helpful. We met a couple of times for lunch at Katie's Kitchen where he raved about Katie's cheeseburger soup. Great personality and sense of humor. My wife thought he was the closest Kenny Roger's impersonator in the area. May Dave rest in peace, and may God grant his entire family peace, assurance and comfort.
Dave touched the hearts of many [22]
Will always remember Dave from church youth group, The 3rd Herd. Umpiring for Nicole’s baseball games. Softball. So many great memories. Hugs to all. Jim

a good time. My thoughts and prayers to his family.
