Wilbert F. "Web" Howett, 84, of West Grove, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the Jenner's Pond Retirement Community. He was the widower of the late Marian S. Phenneger Howett, who passed away in 2003 after they had shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in Bart Township, he was the son of the late Homer R. Howett and Susan Criswell Howett. An area resident his entire life, Web was a driver for Herr's Snack Foods for over 30 years. He was a member of the New London Baptist Church of Kelton.
He is survived by one son Ronald Howett of East Fallowfield, one daughter Patricia, wife of Mike Mooney of West Grove, 11 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death, in addition to his wife and parents, by a sister, Ruth Griest.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main, Parkesburg, followed by interment at the Calvary Monument Cemetery of Paradise. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Funeral Home on both Monday evening from 6 until 8 PM and again on Tuesday morning from 10 until 11 AM.
