It was heart wrenching to hear the news about Steve.  My deepest condolences to the family. May God give you strength in this time of struggle.

Steve and I hung out throughout high school and a few years after. I would go up to his house and make him breakfast before school at times.  That was something we always laughed about when we would run into each other over the years.  Steve always had my back and treated me like a sister. He will be sorely missed!

Betty I knew Stevie when he lived in the mobile home park with his dad. I lived with the Morris family. He was a funny person and always had people laughing. He will be greatly missed by alot of people. I really wanted to make the viewing but I work evenings. But you will be in my thoughts.. Fly high with the angels Stevie!!! <3

I would like to send my condolences to betty. Stevie was my friend/big brother.to him I was sissy and thats the way I left it. I only knew for a short time (2 yrs) but he has made a big impact on me. Like I known him for yrs. He will be truly missed. He was such a good person wit a big heart. I love you stevie.

 I am so sorry to hear about your son. My prayer's and thoughts are with you at this time of need.

We were shocked and saddened to hear this sad news of Stevie. We lost track of him over the years but have fond memories of him. You have our deepest sympathy.

My sympathy goes out to Betty after the tragic loss of her son Steve.  Steve was a unique individual who always embraced life with enthusiasm and humor.  I worked at Great Dane with Steve until retiring in 2013. I will miss seeing him during my visits to the shop.  I always enjoyed his smile when I would drop off some shrimp egg rolls or fried chicken livers at lunch time.  God bless you my friend.

So sad to hear the news about stevie.I knew him from dela ches always loved seeing him at club and down at the lake and camp site he always made me laugh he will be truley missed

My husband (randy) and my brother (chad) worked with stevie at Great dane. It was very heartbreaking to hear the news. He was a special guy. He was always making me smile and kept me laughing when he was around and even when he wasn't he would call me or send me a text and make me laugh. Always joking and having fun. Stevie was something else. He will be greatly missed by many. We love and miss you waltzy. R.I.P

Betty  our thoughts and prayers go out to you on the passing of Stevie. I am Mike's first wife and the mom of Mikey Jr and MiKayla. The kids said Stevie always made them laugh when they saw him. I haven't seen Stevie in quite a few years but I have a lot of great memories of him throughout the 27 years I knew him!!! RIP Stevie 

I was Betty and Stevie's neighbor for all of 12 years while I grew up from birth.  I remember him in our youth.  I remember playing together.  He was always the motorcycle type.  I lost touch with him after we moved due to my parents divorcing, but I'll never forget him as a childhood friend.  David Nissly and I were just talking about Steve last month I do believe.  I remember playing sports and other activities on the plot of land behind Barbara Street that belonged to the Groffs at the time.  Good times.

Steve, you lived your life full-tilt and in the fast lane. Here, at Great Dane, you will be remembered for many funny things including riding a miniature motor-cycle around the trailer lot, of course, with a big smile on your face. I saw you daily during the work week for almost 5 years and now you are gone. It is hard to believe. I know you will live on forever in the hearts of your mother, Betty, and your many friends. Betty,  I'm at a total loss for words.  As a mother, I can not imagine what you have been going through.  Steve was such a huge part of our lives.  I will cherish the memories of the weekends he spent here to go hunting and just dropping in for a visit.  He could make me laugh when I was in the worse mood.  He will be greatly missed.  Love and Hugs to you, Hippie and Mrs. Hippie!
