Yesterday we all lost a special person in our family, a dad, a husband, a brother, etc and to me my grandfather. He was a joy to have around to tell storys, help others on jobs, along with his good personality and sometimes his stubbornness . From when I was very young I always looked up to my poppop. while it may not have always shown it, I always looked up to him. From the time i’ve realized, I knew he was a ideal example of what a family man should be. He was always passionate about work, he was always outside in the garage always working or fixing something that needed some handy work to it. He was a incredible man that left his mark on every person he met, When I look out today, not only do I see my family I see friends and other family members who are also mourning the loss of this great man. He had a great sense of humor and a great personality. He was all those things in one, and so much more. While I may not know what my future - or the future our my family looks like without him I know that i’m a better person because I was loved by him. I only hope that I can live up to the example of love, strength, character and integrity that he set for all of us. While hes no longer here to say that hes proud of me for doing well in school or for working on something, i carry his strength in my heart. I hope someday i hear someone say “Your poppop would be proud.” I will always love and miss you- Love Abby.

We lost an amazing man yesterday. Some called him Joe, we called him Mack, Pop Pop, Hon …I called him Dad. We enjoyed having a beer together, fellow Taurean, eating birthday cake, talking about business, my dance partner at weddings, an occasional trip to Delaware Park. A few of my favorite childhood memories include our famous Christmas shopping trips to Prices Corner, Easter dress shopping, Saturday morning fishing and Friday night dinners out which turned into Friday Night take out as adults. He spent countless hours working side by side with us when he built our childhood home. He taught us how to build a house from studs to laying stone and brick. He was an honest & loyal man, incredibly hard worker, a talented and detailed mason and contractor and most importantly an amazing and loving Dad. He will be sorely missed.

Dear Uncle Mack,

Thank you for always being a fun loving Uncle.  I hope you know how much you were loved.  You asked me at Joe’s funeral if you gave us a good childhood? and I remember telling you that we had the best childhood a kid could ever ask for.  Our visits to your house were so much fun. Whether it was playing kickball, baseball, or putting on a play with paper bags 🤣.   We spent quality time with our cousins and I treasure every memory bc our parents always put family first❤️   And I will also forever miss those Mutton Chops❤️
RIP
Love
Shawn and JW

We've known each other a very long time...both our ornery boys played together, and our "sweet little girls" were buddies ❤️ Mack always made me laugh, especially when he called me P-nut and I called him Pepper-head‼️😉 My prayers are with you, Ruth, and your family.

Mack what a dear Friend you were to us!.  What a great work ethic he had, and he was also a man of great integrity.  Mack's laugh was contagious; you couldn't help but join in when he started joking around.  We laughed and laughed so much fun when he, Joe and Perry built our garage.  We are grateful to have had you in our lives, Mack.  You loved your family like no other. We will always remember the kindness you showed us over these many years.  Ruth - Our sincere condolences to you and each member of your family  as you travel on this difficult journey.  Speaking God's grace and peace into your lives today and always.  Love Pat & Ed
