Helen Louise "Honey Lou" McAdams, 93, of New Holland, PA, passed away peacefully at Garden Spot Village on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. She was the wife of the late Charles F. "Chuck" McAdams who died in 2021. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Conway Gilbaugh and Sara Margaret Pratt Gilbaugh Haines Hall.

Honey Lou was an area resident all her life and a 1948 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville.

She enjoyed her life as a musician. Honey Lou taught piano lessons in her home for many years. She was well known for her ability to accompany soloists and singing groups. A significant number of people appreciated her musical abilities as the organist at their wedding. One of her greatest joys was the 33 years that she was the organist at the Presbyterian Church of Coatesville, now known as Coatesville Bible Fellowship. After moving to Garden Spot Village Honey Lou continued to use her musical abilities as the accompanist for the Village Voices and the organist for Sunday services. She played for weekly devotions and numerous weddings and funerals.

Honey Lou is survived by her children, Margaret Beatty of Gap, PA; Steven McAdams (Karleen) of East Fallowfield; James McAdams (Robin) of Greenville, SC; and Carl McAdams (Carol) of Townville, PA; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and one brother Robert Gilbaugh of Lock Haven, PA. She was preceded in death by her son John (Nancy) of Aston, PA; her grandson Sean; and her brother Wallace Gilbaugh.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday June 2nd at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S Kinzer Ave, New Holland. The service will begin at 6:00 pm with a visitation from 5:30 pm until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coatesville Bible Fellowship (the former Presbyterian Church of Coatesville), 6 N 4th Ave, Coatesville, PA 19320 or County Corrections Gospel Mission, 127 Brandamore Rd, Honey Brook, PA 19344.
