Dawn Seese Johnson, 86, of Coatesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19th, 2017 at her home.  She was the beloved wife of Russell C. Johnson, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage.  

Born in Danville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Naomi MacElrath and Robert Roy Seese.  She was a graduate of Coatesville High School and worked for 28 years at Pepperidge Farm in Downingtown as a Lab Technician.  

Dawn was a member of Wagontown Chapel, where she often served in the kitchen and nursery.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three daughters: Linda S. Diem, wife of M. James Diem, of New Holland, Carol A. Baughman, wife of James R. Baughman, of Manheim, and Rebecca J. Glick, wife of Elam S. Glick of Paradise; seven grandchildren, Troy Gehring, James D. Baughman, husband of Kelly, Eric D. Baughman, husband of Jennifer, Kerri Dawn Dombach, David A. Glick, Jesse B. Glick, husband of Tianna, and Kyle C. Glick; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren; and Marge Dunkin of Selinsgrove, Pa., whom she considered as close as a sister; as well as many nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased by six siblings, Clarence "Pete" Seese, James Seese, Robert Seese, Helen Stewart, Anna Mae Dietrich and her infant brother.   

A celebration of Dawn's life will be held on Saturday, February 25th at 2 PM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery of East Fallowfield.  The viewing will be from 1 until 2 PM.

So sorry for you loss, Carol.  I remember all the stories you shared about your parents.  You definitely have lots of good memories to pass on to your children and grandchildren.  Again, so sorry.

Dear Carol. Sorry for the loss of your Mother. I will never forget how you came to my house when my Mother died. Said you knew you had to come. I can not be there but  I am in spirit and your are in my prayers for inner peace.

Russell and family , So sorry to hear of Dawn"s passing . First met Dawn at the Keystone Mushroom Cannery . Then several years later , our paths crossed again at Pepperidge. I haven't seen her for several years, but I did know she was not well . She always had a smile at work and we had fun . Please accept my condolences . Phyllis Short
