Alicia Gee Rissel, 60, of Thorndale passed away at Twin Pines Health Care Center on Monday, February 12, 2024. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of James Robert Stanley and Alice Gee Stanley. She was the beloved wife of Richard R. Rissel with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.

She was a 1981 graduate of Downingtown High School and graduated from Gordon Phillips Beauty School in 1982. She pursued her hairdressing career for eight years and moved on to the banking industry.

She was most recently employed by Pactiv of Downingtown, where she served as a customer product support staff member.

Alicia celebrated her 20th anniversary with Pactiv in 2023. Despite her ALS disease, Alicia continued to support the Pactiv team until January 26, 2024.

Alicia was a lifetime member of Thorndale Fire Company where she served as recording secretary and membership secretary. Alicia was always on board to support the fire company with various fundraising activities.

She enjoyed time on her back porch just enjoying the outside, driving her beloved convertible Volkswagen Beetle, and traveling. She went on eight different cruises to various destinations during her life and enjoyed trips to both the Jersey Shore and Delaware Beaches. Most of all she cherished time spent with her husband and close friends, especially her cherished girlfriends.

She is survived in addition to her husband by one sister: Jennifer Prentiss and husband Richard of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, two nieces: Sarah Peters of Cogan Station, Pennsylvania, and Allison Stewart of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and three great nieces: Madeline, Emilee, and Annabel.
