Wayne Aaron Forbes, Jr.

Wayne Aaron Forbes, Jr., 79, of Coatesville, PA passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the Coatesville VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA. He was the beloved husband of Frances Chandler Forbes with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Wayne Aaron Forbes, Sr. and Elaine Brooks Forbes.

Wayne was an area resident all his life. In 1966, at the age of 18, he enlisted in the US NAVY and honorably served two tours in Vietnam on a river patrol boat (PBR). He received two Bronze Stars for valor and a Purple Heart for being wounded in Combat.

He was employed, for many years, as a postal carrier with the Coatesville Post Office.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by one daughter Tara Brown and husband Charles of Downingtown, PA.

A Celebration of Life service is being held on Friday , August 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 AM to the time of the service at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA.
