Warren Leon Haines, 89, of Christiana, PA, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Newport Meadows Nursing Home in Christiana, PA. He was the husband of the late Winnie Elaine Haines who died in 2005. They shared 44 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Chester Haines and Alice Witherow Haines.

Warren was an area resident all his life and a 1954 graduate of the former S. Horace Scott Senior High School in Coatesville. He owned and operated, for many years, Haines Tree Service. 

He faithfully served with the Christiana and Gap Volunteer Fire Companies as a fire policeman.

Warren enjoyed working his garden, plowing snow, playing checkers and family picnics.

He is survived by two daughters Ruth, wife of Robert Huyard, of Atglen, Joan, wife of David Palmer of Christiana, five grandchildren; Tracie Bennethum, Holly Strogan, Jonathan, Brian and Lindsey Huyard and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 10:00 AM to the time of the service.

Inurnment will follow at the Doe Run Presbyterian Cemetery. Coatesville, PA.
