Walter James "Jimmy" McEwing, 73, of Pomeroy, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Harry M. "Bud" McEwing and Frances L. Phillippi McEwing.

Jimmy was an area resident all his life. He was employed by the former Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville, PA as a railroad engineer.

He was a former member of the American Legion and the VFW and he was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by one daughter Stephanie Q. Swanson of Punta Gorda, Florida and one step brother Cecil Gentry.

Funeral services will be private by invitation only.
