Born in Washinton Co., Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lou Marks Johnson and James D. Johnson.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rising Sun.

She is survived by her two children: Virginia Peterson, wife of David, of West Grove, and Dean Needham, husband of Virginia, of West Grove; four grandchildren, Jeffrey and Michael Peterson, and Shawn and Brian Needham; and four great grandchildren, Dustin, Brandon, Jesse and Jacqueline Peterson.

She was predeceased by six siblings, Paul, Albert and J.D. Johnson, and Bonnie Reed, Lona Whitaker and Addie Greer.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkeburg, followed by interment in the Union Hill Cemetery of Kennett Square.  Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing at the Funeral Home, which will be held on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM and again on Monday morning from 10 until the time of the service.
