Stephen C. Sheller, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong outdoorsman, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28th.A proud Army veteran who served from 1965 to 1967, Steve dedicated his life to both his country and his community. He was a long-time employee of **Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceuticals in Marietta, PA**, and also served his local community as a dedicated member of the Glenmoore Fire Company Fire Police. He was widely known for his steady presence, well-voiced opinions, and deep love of the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and spending time in the mountains. 

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley A. Sheller; his son, Scott D. Sheller, and daughter-in-law Cathy; his cherished grandsons, James F. and Benjamin A.; and his sister, Claire Rydesky. Stephen's family and friends will forever remember him for his loyalty, teasing banter, and the precious time he spent sharing his love of nature with those he loved.

Visitation and viewing will be on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday July, 10, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with funeral services to be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Steve's memory may be made to an organization of your choice to support veterans, such as heroescare.org or perseveration of the outdoors, like paforestry.org
