February 9, 1967 – September 4, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Boyd Hamm, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, who left us on September 4, 2025, at the age of 58.

Born on February 9, 1967, Stephen was a lifelong resident of Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Known for his hardworking spirit, he built his life and livelihood as a dedicated handyman, always ready to lend a hand or fix what was broken for family, friends, and neighbors alike.

Steve was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, never missing a chance to cheer on his team. His outgoing personality, sharp sense of humor, and fiercely protective nature made him unforgettable to all who knew him. Fittingly, on the night he passed, the Eagles won their game—and his family finds comfort imagining him chanting “E-A-G-L-E-S!” proudly from heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Hamm; his daughter, Ashley Hummel, and son-in-law David Hummel; his sisters Robin Moore and Terry Moran; his beloved nieces and nephew; his brother Roger Hamm; and his mother- and father-in-law, Joanne and Ted McLaughlin. And, of course, his four-legged best friend, Drama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Boyd Hamm and his beloved dog, Zoie.

A service to honor Stephen’s life is being planned. Details will follow. The family invites and encourages loved ones to carry his memory forward by wearing Eagles green, or simply sharing stories of him—whatever feels right to you.

Stephen will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his humor, his heart, and his unwavering love for his family.
