Sidney Francis Abbs, Jr., 77, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family.  He was the husband of Dorothy (Krempa) Abbs, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Bryn Mawr, he was the son of the late Anna and Sidney F. Abbs Sr.

He was a 1957 graduate of Coatesville High School.

He was employed by Johnson Matthey of Malvern.

Sidney is survived by two children: James Abbs of Gap and Jack Abbs, husband of Gwen, of Gap; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

The viewing will take place on Friday, February 19th, 2016 from 6 until 8 PM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg.  The interment will be held at a later date at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Millsboro, DE.
