Shelby Dawn Waltman, 34, of Gap, PA, passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, February 17, 2025. She was the companion of Brad Metzler for over 18 years. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of Deborah L. Flaud of Gap and the late Carl R. Waltman Jr.

Shelby was a graduate of Solanco High School in Quarryville, PA, and worked for the company, Tempus, as a home-caregiver. She loved taking care of her aunt, Mary Lou Flaud.

Shelby was very artistic and crafty, making stencils, decals, and sewing different things for people. She always had her friends' backs and was there for them whenever needed.

Besides her mother and companion, she is survived by her children, Bradley L. Metzler Jr., Shyann N. Metzler, Hunter J. Metzler, and Ryder J. Metzler all of Gap, and siblings, Travis Waltman and companion, Lauren Serbin, of Gap, and Christie Slaymaker and husband, Michael of Nottingham, PA.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28th, at 12:30 PM from the Pequea Baptist Church located at 6062 Old Phiadelphia Pike Gap PA with visitation starting at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, online donations can be made directly to this website.
