Sandra L. Tester

Sandra "Sandy" L. Tester, age 81, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025. She was wife of the late Alfred "Al" R. Tester who passed away in 2024. Born in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Payne and was cherished as she was lovingly raised by Cloyd B. Maxwell and Kathleen L. Maxwell.

She was a beacon of love and kindness, renowned for her compassionate and loyal caregiving to many. She poured her heart into everything she did, always putting the needs of others before her own, a testament to her nurturing spirit. Sandy embraced life with open arms, especially relishing precious moments spent with family and friends.

Sandy was recognized for her cooking abilities and enjoyed preparing meals and baked goods, sharing her creations with others. During her free time, she liked watching Hallmark and Lifetime movies, Wheel of Fortune, The Waltons, and cooking shows. She took pleasure in shopping for cards for different occasions, carefully choosing the right one, and often including a handwritten note. Her enjoyment of phone conversations was one of the ways she stayed connected with her family and friends, highlighting her kind and friendly nature.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon L. (Tom) Helm, and Karen S. Tester. Siblings Beverly Gill, Tina Smith, Cloyd "Bert" Maxwell, II, Joseph J. Mattia, Jr., John Mattia, Janne Mattia, Judith Morley, Jay Mattia, Jeanne Mattia and James Mattia. Grandchildren Amanda, Austin, Alyssa and Rich. Great-grandchildren Aubrey, Avrie, Hayden and Laiken. Sandy was preceded in death by an infant son, "Baby Boy Tester." She also mourned the losses of her daughter Patricia A. Tobelmann, and grandson Jeffrey C. Tobelmann, Jr. Her nurturing heart remains in the memories of those who were honored to know her.

A private visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA.
