Ruthann "Rudy" Smith

Ruthann "Rudy" Smith, 63, of Westwood, died on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the Brandywine Hospital. She was the wife of Theodore A. Smith with whom she shared 45 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret Santucci Gehring.

Rudy was an area resident all her life and a 1966 graduate of the Coatesville Area Senior High School and a parishioner of Our Lady of Consolation Church in Parkesburg.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by two children; Theodore A. "Ted" Smith, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Lancaster and Krista "Kriss" Smith-Kita of Coatesville, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one brother Samuel L. Gehring of Denver, PA.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg with visitation from 10 to 11:00 am.
