Ronald L. Miller

Ronald L. Miller, 84, of Kinzers, PA, peacefully passed away at his home, surrounded with family, on Saturday, November 28, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Veronica (Rice) Miller for over 59 years.  Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Isabel (Hutchins) Miller.

Ron was an area resident all his life and graduated from Octorara High School in 1958.  He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as helmsman on the USS Enterprise during the Cuban Missile Crisis, a Mediterranean tour and a world tour. After serving in the Navy, he returned home and began work as a carpenter then worked in the maintenance department for Servicestar Corporation in Parkesburg for over 33 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael L. Miller of West Reading, PA, and Daniel S., husband of Susan Miller of Gap, PA, and granddaughter, Nichole L., wife of Eric Wright of Honey Brook, PA, two great-grandchildren, and a brother, Richard W. Miller of Christiana, PA.

Ron enjoyed fishing, often surrounded with family, both at the Delaware beaches and on his pontoon boat.  A skilled woodworker, Ron made many pieces of furniture for family and he also enjoyed cutting firewood.  Ron’s lively sense of humor made him a memorable part of many family gatherings. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
