Obituary

Ronald E. Davis (Ron) of East Fallowfield Township passed away on May 3, 2026, peacefully in the arms of his wife after a long battle with cancer. Born on July 28, 1944, in Coatesville, PA, Ron lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to his loved ones, and a love for the outdoors. He was the son of Miller S. and Dorthea M. (Stevens) Davis. He graduated from Scott Senior High School in 1962. He spent many years working at Allegheny Ludlum of Westwood, PA and then A. Duie Pyle in Parkesburg, PA.

Ron's passing leaves a profound void among those close to him. He is survived by his wife, Paula Rhoades Davis, to whom he was married for 60 years; and his two sons, Ronald P. Davis (Jonna) and Rodney M. Davis (Kim). Ron was also a proud grandfather to four grandchildren; Rodney J. Davis (Lauren), Ronald J. Davis (Caitlyn), Jessica Ink (Derek) and Aaren Dissinger (Justin); whose lives he enriched with his presence, wisdom, and love. They will fondly remember the years hunting and fishing with him, especially when he took the time to take them youth hunting, and the many stories told around the campfire at their cabin. He also leaves behind 9 great-grandchildren.

Ron was an outdoorsman through and through - a hunter, fisherman, and a member of the West Caln Sportsman Club. He was a man who found peace in the outdoors, happiest with a fishing pole in hand or sitting quietly in the woods during hunting season. He spent many hours in his tree stand and the streams surrounding his cabin and West Virginia. His passion of hunting led him to a proud hunting moment, a buck that made it into the PA Record Book. Not only did he bring in many deer, but he was there alongside his sons and grandchildren as they began hunting and harvesting their own deer. In addition to trout fishing, Ron took an annual trip to Domaine Shannon in Canada to Pike and Walleye fish with his sons, grandsons and good friend.  He truly was a man who enjoyed life's simple pleasures.

Throughout his life, Ron was blessed with the company of his siblings—Millie (Dave) Morris, Donald (Myrtle) Davis, and Lynn (Dave) Maule—all of whom carry forward his memory and spirit. He was predeceased by his parents, Miller S. Davis and Dorthea (Stevens) Davis; and brother, Donald Davis. His legacy lives in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.  He will be dearly missed and forever remembered for his strong values, deep appreciation for the outdoors, and his many jokes. To honor his wishes no funeral or memorial services will be held. He preferred to be honored and remembered simply through time spent with his family and loved ones.
