Robert "Bob" Wishneski, born on June 5, 1938, in Shenandoah, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 6, 2026. A beloved son, brother, father, and friend, Bob touched the lives of many throughout his remarkable journey.
Bob dedicated nearly three decades of his career to Hewlett-Packard, serving from 1966 to 1996 as a mechanical designer and model maker/tool maker. Throughout his tenure, he was instrumental in designing crucial parts for HP's gas chromatograph, a proud accomplishment that showcased his technical prowess and creativity. His colleagues will remember him as one of the most pleasant persons they ever met, always radiating a positive attitude that inspired those around him.
Beyond his professional life, Bob had a diverse array of interests that reflected his adventurous spirit. He found joy in all outdoor activities, embracing the beauty of nature through hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, tennis, golf, scuba diving, and swimming. An avid traveler, Bob visited numerous destinations including Europe, Polynesia, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Africa, Egypt and Alaska, each journey enriching his life and broadening his horizons.
Bob leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter, Linda Campbell; sons, Rob Wishneski and Dennis Wishneski; and brother, Stanley Wisniewski. He also cherished his role as a grandfather to 12 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Jeanne Wishneski; brother, Richard Wisniewski; and parents, Stanley Wisniewski, Sr. and Jennie Wisniewski. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Bob's warm spirit, adventurous heart, and unwavering positivity will be profoundly missed by family and friends alike.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W. 2nd Ave., Parkesburg, PA with visitation starting at 9:30 AM.
