Robert William McKittrick Jr. (“Bob”), of Gap, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 15 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA, on January 7, 1940, to the late Robert William McKittrick Sr. and Marianna McKittrick (née Jones).

Bob was formerly a resident of Philadelphia, Clifton Heights, Broomall, Havertown, and Doe Run, Pennsylvania. He was also a resident of Pocomoke, Maryland, as a child. 

He graduated from Marple Newtown High School in 1959. He joined the U.S. Navy after graduating and served as a Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class Petty Officer from August 1959 to August 1963 on the USS Intrepid. After returning from the Navy, he worked at Abbott’s Dairies for three years.

He met the love of his life, Joyce, in 1966. They married in 1968 and were blessed with three beautiful children (Keith, Wanda, and Stacie). They made their home in Havertown, PA, where they raised their children and attended Grace Chapel.

Bob owned and operated his own floor contracting/floor installation business for 37 years. After retiring from his business, he worked for the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District as a custodian for 17 years until his final retirement in 2020.

Bob enjoyed weight training and spending time with his family and loved ones. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Clare-Joyce McKittrick (née Aragon); his son, Keith McKittrick (Kim) of Landenberg, Pennsylvania; his daughters, Wanda Moleski (Todd) of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, and Stacie L. Murphy (Tim) of Denver, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren; Shawn Greco, Morgan Murray, Maddison Enright, Jake Moleski, Teegan Moleski, Dalton Moleski, Eric Murphy, Nicholas Murphy, Miranda Murphy, Timothy Murphy, Robert Murphy, and Kai McKittrick, and 7 great-grandchildren; Lucas Charles Murphy, Rocky Jude Murphy, Karson Murray, Melia Murray, Ronan Murray, Oakley Murray, and Maisie Enright
