Richard Hoskins, age 73, passed away on May 20th, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. Born on November 27th, 1952 in Coatesville, PA, Richard spent much of his life working as an ironworker, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic, resilience, and dedication. He took pride in his work and the life he built through honest labor.

A quiet man by nature, Richard often preferred the comfort of his own company and the simple pleasures of life. Though he was not one to seek attention, those who knew him will forever remember his deep, rumbling laugh—a sound that could fill a room and bring a smile to those around him. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Thomas, who passed away more than twenty years ago, and by his daughter, Kelly Hoskins, who passed away in April of this year. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald and Rusti. He is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer Hoskins; his brothers, Robbie and Randee; his sister, Bonnie; his 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly. 

Though he lived a quiet life, his presence left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered for his strength, his hard work, his unmistakable laugh, and the love he carried for his family. 

A service to celebrate his life will be held on June 27th, 2026 at 1:00pm, at the Tara Pavilion 440 Dilworth Rd, Downingtown, PA 19335.

The family asks that those who knew him take a moment to remember him in their own way and cherish the memories they shared.
